Do you think Guitar Hero series and an assortment of games like that kills "in-ness" of the guitar?
What I mean by "in-ness" is only the popularity of the instrument itself, and each generation has a popular tool associated with it, like the Roaring Twenties big bands, the piano was romantic. What I really mean is that the popularity of the guitar in culture, are games like Guitar Hero and some name guitar shredders (Yngwie comes to mind) are exaggerated and ruin the appeal of one or solidify this?
I do not think Guitar Hero is the elimination of "in-born" of the guitar, I think make it more interesting and popular people who have never thought about playing guitar. Even if more people can play Guitar Hero, then learn to play guitar "in-ness" of the guitar, never leave you.
