What are the differences between wood acoustic guitar?
Well, I bought an Ibanez assembly, flamed maple body, as others have 5 types of wood: Solid Spruce Koa Quilted Maple Cedar What are the differences between these types of wood?
The following descriptions Carvin.com are taken in the Guide section of the wood. The parts in brackets are my own contribution. Curly flamed maple (slub means it has the design Tigrillo stripes on wood) is lighter than the Hard Rock Maple Highs and sing with good tight low end. Quilted Maple (Quilted means you have a concept of the cloud on the wood) Quilted Maple produces sounds similar to Curly flamed maple. The figure may vary from a large cloud of small pockets of ways to look good all translucent finishes and stains. Spruce Known for his pure light color and uniform grain, Engleman Spruce is well known as one of the finest woods for acoustic guitar Tops. It has a more clear cedar with a fine and even low-end response. Koa (KOA is very expensive because of its rarity) Koa is an exotic medium weight wood grown exclusively in Hawaii. Was used by ancient Hawaiians to build canoes and surfboards. Koa has warmth and sustain similar to Mahogany and also possesses the clear open tone and alder. Koa looks wonderful If you choose an oiled tung, glossy or shiny. Flamed Curly Koa Ukuleles premium is the timber for construction and high-end acoustic guitars.
