How can I adjust my guitar?
I have an Epiphone SG G-400 and I wondered about possible adjustments. It has a tune-o-matic bridge and saw somewhere that could change the tone with her. My intonation is not perfect but close. Should I leave or should try to make it perfect? So I must try chains getting thicker or thinner strings? What is the best for her? Also, the action is adjustable. How does the change in tone if I put up or down? Can I get more static? And new control knobs and well worth the money. Thank you!
My advice would be to find a music store near you where the staff will show you all these things. He who does not speak to you, and wants to help you learn. Most shops can do something called set-up, including installation of new channels, set the tone, to include the action (the distance between the strings on the neck.
