How to pick the climbing rope?
I was walking up a lil while ago and I want to buy the equipment and start doing it with a friend, probably good to start with "pulley" until you have about it. IM probably going to buy equipment such as harnesses and online caribeaners (no local shops), but what I get cable type (such as thickness, etc) and I do not wear shoes before boarding, but are they worth it? I took off my sneakers. Also, if you have any recommended site for climbing equipment that is appreciated, thanks!
Rei.com has all the hardware you need. The climb is not as expensive as some sports, but this is not is cheap. The initial outlay for some gear corkline several hundred dollars. I agree with the previous answer you should try the same shoes and harnesses before buying. A good fit is important and shoes that will probably have to prove in a lot of different brands, models and sizes before finding something that works. You can still use until you find tennis shoes that are mostly in the fingers or the edge of his shoe to use the hold – until a huge advantage, shoes friction. As for the rope, this is relatively cheap for $ 170: http://www.rei.com/product/723022 cables are designed to be thin climbing in using together. Whatever you do, do not go climbing with a regular rope – may break its back. (Rope climbing is a bit elastic.) You will also need to least 1 carabiner and a locking device for securing the air traffic. Here is a simple ATC for $ 18: They sell a http://www.rei.com/product/471034 fig-8 brake system for a few dollars less, but they are brutal work. This is the minimum. Depending on conditions, you may need t more arts. And, of course, will not rise unchecked unless we both know exactly what you do. One mistake and someone could pancake. (10 + years of climbing.)

Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny $3.28 You don’t have to be a munchie-loving stoner or an aspiring rock god to enjoy Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny, but it helps. A dozen years after they introduced their mock-rock power duo on the Los Angeles club scene, Jack Black and Kyle Gass finally got the movie showcase (a partial spinoff from the D’s short-lived HBO series) their fans had been waiting for, and it’s a rockin’ romp with plent… |

The Music Man (1957 Original Broadway Cast) [Angel Reissue] $6.02 Although Robert Preston and Barbara Cook put in stellar performances, it’s the music that’s the star of this hugely successful document of the 1958 Broadway smash. Written entirely by Meredith Willson, it drew from memories of his childhood in a small Midwestern town. Preston plays a traveling salesman/con artist, while Cook is the dull spinster “Marian the Librarian,” whose love for Preston’s cha… |

Tenacious D The Pick of Destiny $4.66 Like Spinal Tap, the Rutles, and even the Bonzo Dog Band, Tenacious D manage to send up rock conventions while employing them expertly. The soundtrack to their first full-length motion picture mixes songs and bits from the movie, but it plays like a hilarious concept album more than anything. Dave Grohl and (one half of the) Dust Brothers–who played on the D’s delicious 2001 debut–are here join… |
