I have a distortion pedal and I was also considering looking for a Vox wah pedal
The Vox wah is a classic resonance, well built reliable pedal. Probably a good choice, but for the money of multiple most modern units of voice, they tend to be more versatile. It also depends on how they can spend money. Each employer is usually moderately priced and reliable. The platform also its resale value or trade. Good hunting.
